For years, the Bargello Museums have been committed to promoting and ensuring true accessibility to cultural assets in the spirit of genuine social and cultural integration and inclusion.
Guided Tours and Tactile Workshops
The Bargello Museums aim to offer a series of tactile and multisensory guided tours, free of charge, to individuals with visual impairments and their companions every year.
Currently, these tactile experiences take place at the National Bargello Museum and the Museum of Palazzo Davanzati.
These meetings can be scheduled or requested and arranged directly with the Educational Services of the Bargello Museums.
With the guidance of a specialized operator, visitors can experience the diverse and varied Beauty preserved in the Bargello Museums through touch, engaging their senses. Visitors are stimulated to perceive the atmospheres and suggestions of the past through history, stories, scents, and sounds of these ancient palaces.
Guided Tours for Visitors with Mobility Disabilities
Upon request, the Bargello Museums arrange a series of free guided tours for small groups of individuals with mobility disabilities and their companions.
Guided Tours for Non-Profit Associations and Volunteer Organizations
The Bargello Museums offer non-profit associations and volunteer organizations working in the social and disability fields the opportunity to arrange a series of guided tours free of charge, led by specialized operators.
These tours are designed for a selected audience, including children, adolescents, or elderly individuals hosted or supported by day centers, family homes, and care centers.
The tour itineraries are adapted based on the characteristics and needs of the groups of visitors involved in the initiative and aim to support projects of social inclusion and the enhancement of the museum’s heritage by introducing art to people living in situations of vulnerability and marginalization.
